Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

VDJ Config with Mixer

    Hi,

I'm pretty new to Virtual DJ and was wondering how to set up a mixer with my laptop and use headphones. So far I've just been hooking up and RCA cable into one channel on the mixer and just using that channel. Is it possible to hook up to two channels and use one channel for headphones while the other one plays normally? Probably a really basic question but I'm pretty stuck! Would using a headphone splitter and then hooking up two different RCA cables into different channels do the trick? Do I need a sound card? If so is there any one in particular and where can I find them?

    Thanks for any advice!

your gonna need a soundcard like a dj i/o or something similar with a similar amount of inputs/outputs

ok so i got this sound card
    http://www.dooyoo.co.uk/sound-card/terratec-aureon-5-1-usb-mkii/

Any ideas if this is suitable or how I hook it up? I assumed I would need two outputs going into two different channells on the mixer? This one seems to have 3 outputs for speakers?!

That card will be fine, use each of the front/rear outputs for the 2 channels - use a 1/8' jack (mini-jack) to RCA cable - all you got to do then is to set the VDJ settings for each channel out as front or rear
