Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Who the hell is Steve Savidan?

    The new face of French football apparently.

    For those that don't know, Savidan has been called up to the latest French squad for the first time at the age of 30. Four years ago the striker was playing amateur football while working as a barman and a binman amongst other things.

    He cut his teeth with Valenciennes and was an integral part of the team that went from Division 3 to Ligue 1. In the summer he moved to Caen for €5 million and has banged in 6 goals so far this season and has 4 assists.

    There has been a lot of controversy in France surrounding the call up as Domenech has stated on more than one occassion that he is looking to youth as the future of French football.

    Hopefully Savidan gets a run out against Uruguay this week and completes the Rags to Riches fairytale.

    Fair play to him. Wasnt Jimmy Bullard playing amature a few years ago. He may get a run out on Wednesday
