Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Three days to get there is optimistic and wouldn't give you much time for stopovers. Cherburg to Alvor is over 2000km so a second driver would certainly help. Aire de services would probably be the best option located every 20-30Km on the motorways. Searching for campsites can be time consuming when you have to leave motorways and drive through villages etc. That been said there's a few stories out there about theft in France and in particularly Spain so staying overnight on motorways isn't always recommended.
Tolls through France would at a guess be at least €100 each way. Diesel probably around €1000 for the trip, ferry cost around €1200. Three days driving coupled with an 18hr ferry trip each way would eat a lot into your trip. If it was me I'd plan for a three to four week trip to make it worthwhile.
