What you think of tattoos?

im just the same as everyone else outside my own forums fear not :)

I posted my opinions a few pages back, just to reiterate...

There's a huge difference between getting a cheap poorly drawn tattoo on you by some scratcher (crappy tattooist) and a work of art by some of the best people in the business. Like everything really, in most cases people go into a tattoo studio and pick some flash off the walls. These are the bread and butter for most tattoo artists, however they're nothing special and chances are 90% of most punters out there will have the exact same thing.

I see it a lot in the forum I co-mod, people come in asking what to get tattooed on themselves. It's like asking a stranger what to wear to your wedding. We know nothing about the person, what they like or dislike. It's the same in person. I've seen people come in and ask tattoo artists what to tattoo on them. Immediately most artists will do this  and tell them to think about it more and come back when they've made their decision.

Just read the arse-antler post. Called car reg's as well. I saw a particularly bad example when I was in a supermarket the weekend. The girl had MUM and the little antlers printed there.

Now, gentlemen, imagine assuming the position (you know the one), looking down, and reading that tattoo. What's the first image that pops into your mind? ARRRRGGGGHHHHH!!!
