Anyone been watching Boardwalk Empire? It is HBOs latest ratings grabber? Top notch I have to say. Steve Buscemi is a great actor.

yeah i made some posts about it in here a while back, It's what people wanted from The Sopranos guys after The Sopranos finished imo. Though how could it not be a hit with people from HBO/The Sopranos/The Wire/Scorcese etc behind it.

Pity the first season is over already

Wahey, name change went through. No more gender mix ups for me now...hopefully.

Got my name change too. Was paddyirishman85, but it was weird with everyone calling me Paddy all the time. These things always seem like a good idea at the time

^ I am only 4 episodes in, but am somewhat addicted already. It is very dark so far, I would imagine it will stay so.

Kelly McDonald is excellent it it as well so far. Not sure about the toura loura Irish accent, but I will get over that.

My name is Barry. An English guy I met a few times (friend of a friend) started calling me Barrington. Close enough. Barry is a terrible Internet username

I'd be happy enough with Simon. Usually when people think Barry they think of

First season of Boardwalk Empire was pretty good. It's really just a combination of several other HBO shows but it's still bloody great. Needs more Chalky White though.

Looking at buying a blu ray player

What advantages would this one have over, say, a train, which I can also afford?

A train? Like a choo choo?

That blu ray is pretty good.

Samsungs have fast loading times, dont make much noise, look very well and price is very good.

Does it have a USB slot in it? Says it does, but when I hover over the picture, I cannot see one.

Yep. If you see the usb logo. (far right) you can see the little square that covers up the port.
Its a thing samsung do, block up anything that may take away from the beautiful aesthetics of the product.
Directly told to me by a samsung rep. :)

I highly recommend buying and Blu-Ray or DVD player with a USB port. Much more quicker and convenient than using blank DVD's.

I dont get the fascination of the golf games.
    Whats different in this one?

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,053 ✭✭✭D.Q

ehhm...not much that I'd use. There is a true aim feature. That means that you only have the view you would have on a real golf course, ie. no little overhead aiming circle. But to be honest, if I wanted to play realistic golf, I'd play real golf.

    First time car insurance.
    Anyone have any recommendations?

Is that a test on a car?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 21,296 ✭✭✭✭gimmick

Its a driving "safety" test. If you do it and pass it, you get a discount on your insurance with Aviva. Its a piece of piss and I cannot imagine how one could fail it.
