Yup. Best bet just have P-Dubs just go to the Fozzy gig and if anyone's there on the night have a few jars; so there isn't a big song and dance about it.

I really hope I manage to get a Rammstein ticket. It's going to bedlam on Friday morning.

I'm not :( They sent me a free sim a while back but I can't for the life of me find it. Looks like I'm going into the lottery with everyone else

If you're free Friday morning I'd recommend queueing up at a Ticketmaster outlet (there's one in Jervis centre) for 9am. I find the online thing a bit crappy, i dunno how these boffins do it.

Hair? Not exclusively. Noise? F*ck yes. I love my music to be as in your face as possible whilst retaining a key element of melody.

I may go to the square in Tallaght for Friday. Will each outlet have a certain number of tickets though?

Doesn't appear to be anything there :( I think I'll get down to The Square as early as I can on Friday morning and try my luck there.

Very interested in hearing your top 5 so. And if I hear "Foo Fighters and U2" I expect your mod badge handed in and your desk cleared by 5pm

I've possibly the most varied music taste. From Heavy Rock to Pop Punk to Punk itself... it's just so varied

Cool, I'm officially the Straight Edge Savior of PW now!! (Well, it's underneath my username)

I listen to deep house and soul generally speaking. Producers generally MAW, Herbert, Jimpster, Fishgodeep.

can u post youtube links to some of your favourite songs?

  • Registered Users Posts: 7,957 ✭✭✭The Volt

Music is about as subjective a thing that you can get. I'm sure gimmick was just being tongue in cheek with his opinions!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 21,296 ✭✭✭✭gimmick

Ya, I was being a tad tongue in cheek.

However, here a few links to a few tracks which are floating my boat at the mo

    Thats a glimpse.

    I like easy relaxed music.

  • Registered Users Posts: 12,013 ✭✭✭✭jaykhunter

I think my brain is hard-wired differently for music. Like I hear a beat but don't understand the allure of long, drawn-out repetition. I hear lyrics but they're not prominent, they seem like words place in there because they sound nice, not to really be listened to, if that makes sense. :o

But yeah, music is intensely subjective. So ya don't feel singled out here's some of my favourite tracks.:)

    Acoustic
José González - Down the line

    Tommy Emmanuel - Drivetime (Cover)

    Alternative
Cage The Elephant - Ain't No Rest For The Wicked

Flight Of The Conchords - Robots

    Rock/Metal
    Avenged Sevenfold - Bat Country

    Dream Theater - Panic Attack

OK just two more - i'm into videogame soundtracks; here's two awesome songs (but probably lost on u if u haven't played the games...)

Here's two CastleVania songs covered by a metal band, CarboHydroM

Hyrule Symphony - Ocarina Medley (Legend of Zelda)

80's music, Classic Rock, and stuff I hear in Games and Movies.

Outside of that, separate songs that I like from different genres.

A gig is a terrible time IMO. What you want is to have it either around some irish promotions show, or a WWE/TNA house, or a PPV. That way you keep the group together. At a gig, the group gets split and thats that.

Summerslam is only five and a half weeks away ;)

Anyone going to Oxygen it feels like they have nearly the exact same line up the last few years.I never go to these festivals i'll stick with my iPod with the likes of Led Zep,Foals & The Killers.
Liverpool sign Charlie Adam if we sell Meireles now i'll be ****ing pissed.

I loves me some Progressive Rock.. Dream Theater, Rush, Floyd, Tool..
Which strangely the fans of these bands, and music in general are similarly obsessive as Online Wrestling fans:pac:

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,391 ✭✭✭D2D

Seeing as "The Race to 10000" was a big bust, I think 11k should be the new 10k.

So anyway, what about that local sports team?
