Mazda Transponder key problem

    Hey guys, My transponder in my key has broken after 10 years of abuse.

    But alas, no spare.

    Park motors have quoted me between 60 and 150 which is better than I expected tbh but they've also said it will take a few days and then I'll have to bring the car in for an afternoon....(to be reprogrammed? I can only guess)

    I want to get this sorted asap so can anyone suggest alternative options.
    I've been told that there are locksmiths around the city that can do it. But they can they do it without me having to get the car towed in like for Park motors?

    Car is a 1998 Maxda 323 Hatchback 1.3 lxi
