After I recieve it, I'm gonna e-mail their helpdesk linking to this thread and tell them I'm gonna personally bad-mouth every single offer that's posted from TheHut / SendIt on the forum, and warn people of their piss-poor service by linking to this thread each and every time.

That and I'll them that they're a bunch of stupid doo-doo heads!

No way (and I didn't even get to order a NC10). There have been cases in the past where shops have tried to get out of contracts like this where for example something that was normally €1,000 was accidentally marked as €10. In some (nnly some) of those cases the shops got away with it as it was a manifest error i.e. it was so blindingly obvious to everyone that it was a mistake, that no buyer could seriously say they thought it was the real price - if a site was genuinely selling something worth €1,000 for €10 they would have a big yellow flashing notice all over the site telling you about it.

In this case, where the reduction was from €399 approx to €299 approx, there is no way the company could get out of it (unless of course you have publicly said you knew it was an error and you were just taking advantage of it).

They can't do anything.. they accepted our initial offer - they can't change terms of it now.

They have not responded to any of my messages (through my account) for the past three days

UTI acknowledged my query by email and said some one would get back to me - hasn't happened

the lack of a reference is the most frustrating bit

I deserve this for Christmas - I've been good

I tried contacting the UTi Dublin office - a Paddy instantly replied saying he needed the reference number

But then a Barbara emailed just moments ago saying they tried delivery on the 8th and got no reply - could I please confirmt he address for delivery tomorrow !

She included a screen shot of the tracking including the 702 number

Hmm_Messiah is now my personal saviour.. e-mailed Barbara at UTI and got this back:

Problem solved…

The driver has the piece on board his truck for the last few days.

It arrived into UTi on the 12th Dec and he has tried 3 times to deliver same but no one home.



Can you advise your contact details or an alternative delivery address so we can deliver to you to-morrow
