This might be a touchy one, but has there been an increase in vagrancy around the town in the last 6-9 months?

Was driving through Killarney earlier and noticed a a few (maybe four or five) people congregating at the credit union with sleeping bags etc. Homeliness is not something that seemed very prevalent to me in the town before. Quite a few cans being consumed and loud-ish conversations and looked like it could have been quite off putting to people walking past.

Sad to see so close to home.

Flagged this a few months back. Numbers seem to have grown as the sheltered accommodation adjacent to McDonalds neared completion.

I'm glad to see the Scotts man (I believe he's from Scotland) with the guitar, that he's out of hospital. He looks better.

There's always been 6 or 7 of them around but I don't think their all homeless, unless there's new ones and have come from a different town.

I know it's more complicated that this but really if there are beds available then these people should be taking them.

I'd have very little sympathy when they're being offered, more than once by the sounds of it, a bed and refusing help.

You can only do so much for someone that doesnt want to be helped

Of course it's complicated but in a pandemic it should not be happening. The sanitary aspect alone makes it unconscionable.

I agree. But you can't force someone into something they don't want.

Is there anywhere that someone can get a photocopy done at the moment? I imagine usual outlets are closed. Would the post office do them?

    Hi all.
I'm looking for a recommendation for a reputable removal company for a 2 bedroom house from Kerry to the Northeast - about 300 kilometres.
I have some antique furniture, so no white van guys please.

Next to the old entrance, barrier car park for 30ish cars

    I live here.

Fair enough. If its inside your 5k, then enjoy. It's a magical place.

Does anyone know if the dump/recycling centre at Coolcashlagh is open fully during this lockdown? I remember last time, they weren't accepting some things.
