Can anyone recommend any shops in Killarney that sell cheap secondhand furniture? I do them up myself and then sell them but there are a shortage of places in Tralee where I am from. Thanks

AFAIK - the auction room in Boheree do house clear outs. I would presume that they could not sell everything they clear out - they might be worth a try?.

The Ballyhar Road is closed until September 21st for works. When travelling towards Ballyhar the road is closed from the crossroads at the level crossing.

PS Kerry County Council: Thanks for the advance warning

hi ... i am thinking about opening a shop selling surf/skate brands such as animal, quiksilver, etnies, oakley, rip curl etc etc .. am wondering if there is an opening there for it ? i know urban used sell these brands and is now closed :( , my reasoning for opening a store is a simple one i wear these brands and find i cant get them in killarney.. so is it worth the risk ?

Anyone know of a good place for sports massage, deep tissue stuff?
It's for maintenance, not for injury correction.
Rather not go to a physiotherapy.

There was a place a few years back in the innisfallen shopping centre that used to specialise in that kind of thing. They closed down five or ten years ago due to poor business. Then of course there was urban, which also closed down. I would not be too keen on investing a lot of money in a range that has failed to maintain a hold twice in the last decade, but that's just me.

Have you thought about selling online, based from Killarney?

Making a profit should be your main concern, not customer interaction.

Has anyone bought meat from the German Butchers in Fossa? What cuts of meat did you get and what did you cook? Thanks

Get venison from the German butchers every so often as a treat.

    Bit expensive but utterly delicious.

Dunno - a friend of mine is in commercial property and the fact that 3 lettings are being agreed was just a talking point during a conversation about retail lettings in general.

Didn't a candle-shop selling mainly Yankee Candles close down on Main Street not too long ago? Hope the new Yankee Candle-store in the Outlet survives longer. I've a loyalty-card with Yankee Candles and really like their quality.

Didn't want to make a whole thread about this, so thought I'd ask here :)
Does anyone know if I can bring my dog to killarney national park and if he has to be on a lead? :)

Ah of course you can bring your dog to K.N.P. and yes the dog should be on a lead. There would be a lot of pets down there and there would be some trouble if they weren't all on leads or kept under control.
Dogs on leads more than welcome in the K.N.P. :)

    1)Yes of course
    2) In theory yes. At the moment it's the Deer Rutting season so I would advise to keep your dog on a leash for his and the safety of the deer (they can be a bit tempermental this time of the year)

NP&WL service staff erected signs asking for dogs to be kept on leads at several entrances to the National Park last week.

Dogs have been worrying deer and other livestock in the national park in recent times.
