IT MIGHT BE A STUPID QUESTION ?

    I was in work the other day , anyway the coversation was about fishing.
    differnt speices we had caught, sizes, lenghts ,weights ,ect ect .
    anyway one of the lads start talking about conger ells,
    he was saying that congers have there brain in there tails ,and to kill them quick you cut of the tail ,:eek:
    now this lad has only fished a couple of times ,as for me iv have fished since 19 o splash but have never heard of this ,so any of you fellow anglers heard of this ?. me an expreienced angler could not give him an answer .:D
    any help cheers ...

    There is a story t hough,that if you rap an eel's tail sharply with a solid object or the gunwale of the boat or whatever,it will stop wriggling long enough to take the hook out.

    Catching it is only the beginning of the fun.
    After that you have to wrestle it until you get the hook out.
    I guess he wasn't into the wrestling bit .....
