    I have 1 of these. Absolutley love it. planning on doin a few mos now shortly. main hing i want to do is increase fuel consumption?? any ideas, shes like myself at d moment, fond of a drop. wud really need to make her loose a little weight. might sound like a silly question but can ya paint carbon fibre. I saw a bonnet for a reasonable price but hate d black colour. Finally what can I do to the engine to get more speed and more importantly acceleration.
    any help would be appreciated

    It can be painted but its allot of work.

    Vinal is also an option if you ever plan to sell the bonnet on.

    I've a ford escort 97 lx and I've been watching this thread cos I've been hoping to read some thing that I can use, so come on there must be a ton of things to improve an escort (on a budget) with out buggering up the car. different filters etc... I really know nothing about cars so feel free to talk about the obvous stuff.

    you want to increase fuel consumption?! what?

    if you want to improve an escort, look for a cosworth engine and running gear, or even an escort rs running gear and drop it all into your escort
