Borrowed from the 'Historic Dublin' Thread, over in the dublin forum.

Credit goes to 'Wishbone_Ash' for posting the photo.

Can't you use whatever you want, so long as they're not blue?

Random google picture to keep with the thread rules:

    garda-cycle.jpg

Which reminds me, there's a coast guard jeep usually parked around the corner from my house. Seems to have disappeared though. Every time I go near where it usually is with my camera it's nowhere to be seen, but every time I don't have my camera, it's there!

What the Guards should really be using...only around €31,000.
    rs22cj1.jpg

Another option, not sure of the cost, or if they even make 'em for the new model Mondeo.

What the N81 looked like tonight (between junction at Jobstown & Westbrook/Citywest)

A stolen vehicle lost control on a bend and this is the result.

Nice, One2One. You too, Pingu. Forgot about the Boyne Fisherman lads. Red lights can hardly be illegal in Ireland if they're used by numerous groups?

Red lights are most certainly illegal in the state. Im suprised both units are not being prosecuted......in fact the question arrises why they should have them since neither are declare reasources. There are several lighting thread on here that refer to it so give them a search.

Oh yeah.. forgot about that. Didn't think they'd do that much for it though. Never been to Dublin's parade (i assume that's where it was).

Irish President arriving at Croke Park yesterday for the Scotland game. Almost ended badly for a couple of pedestrians who seem oblivious to all the blue lights and sirens!

++ Edit - video is a bit dark, don't know why it kept fluctuating .. dam sun .. or something. If you look closely you can see it but maybe easier for me to see it because I know what I'm looking for?

Can't see much in that video, can make out the shapes of what's going on but the video is mostly dark.
