Came across an accident last night and there was a van in attendance. Funny thing was it had a load of lights, a la over the top american cruiser.

The lights were positioned as follows,



The dash leds were about the same size as four of the regular dash leds combined. There were Leds attached to the rear view mirror, and at the rear, there were Leds on each door.

I was wondering if these Leds had come out of the Guards own pockets or was the Fleet manager feeling especially generous?

And no answer without a picture!

Unmarked Mondeo with ANPR noted in Dublin 24 with alot of LEDs! On the front we have the standard blue dash led, + a white/blue led, bumper leds, leds in front headlights!

Ye. I wonder if Guards have resorted to purchasing their own, and pleading with the Super or something along those lines.

Not exactly the quickest, there use to be a MK5 minibus used for jury runs for the central criminal court up until quite recently.

The license plate says 2001 on one of the cars? When did the word GARDA start getting put on the lightbar/bonnet? I can't remember it ever not being there, to be honest? (I'm not saying it was always there, I'm just saying I never noticed it not being there, and thus, am curious as to when it came in).
