Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Liverpool v Fulham [Match Thread]

So Gerrard it out but everyone else seems fit.

    Most likely team is probably

    Reina
    Arbeloa Carra Agger Aurelio
    Kuyt Masch Alonso Riera
    Torres Keane

Subs: Cavalieri, Dossena, Hyppia, Babel, Lucas, Benayoun, Ngog

However with the game Wednesday expect some early subs if possible and maybe a standard surprise from Rafa - maybe Lucas for Alonso?

Fulham arent exactly a force to be reckoned with away from home so fingers crossed is should be relatively easy win.

    Win baby, just win.

Just thinking about it some more - wonder if there is a possibility of Dossena getting the nod ahead of Aurelio - presuambly the defence won't exactly be under massive pressure, so might be a chance to give him some game time.
From what I've seen Dossena is pretty decent going forward and he would surely get a chance to do that in this game. Then play Aurelio on Wednesday.
    Its a possibility no?

Setanta Sports 1 is showing it. That line up looks likely, though Lucas may well come in as he didn't play midweek.

    Lucas alongside Alonso maybe?

I think Babel should get a start too he's being increasingly marginalised.

    Liverpool:

    Reina

    Arbeloa
    Aurelio
    Carragher
    Agger

    Mascherano
    Lucas
    Kuyt
    Riera

    Torres
    Keane

Subs: Cavalieri, Dossena, Hyppia, Alonso, Benayoun, Babel, El Zhar

Strange move putting Lucas in for two reasons.

    1) Alonso has been in such good form

    2) Gerrard is out so we badly need Alonsos creativity.

Lucas needs game time but dont think this is the best match for it.

I think Lucas is quite creative and Fulham will give him time on the ball. They have no muscle in midfield.

But Alonso would have totally owned midfield if he started. Lucas is about the same standard as Bullard and Murphy. Time for Mascho to get the finger out.

I suppose the fact that Lucas didnt play midweek whereas Alonso played the full ninety midfield was the deciding factor. Presuambly Alonso will be back for the European game.

Also Alonso has been up there in terms of playing time this season - in the league so far
    Reina 1170
    Carra 1170
    Kuyt 1139
    Arbeloa 1060
    Alonso 1041

Fingers crossed Lucas uses this opportunity to step up bigstyle today. Fulham's centre two of Danny and Jimmy arent exactly an overwhelming duo and he should be able to give a decent display especially when he knos he hasthe security of Masch alongside him.

    Bit of pressure from fulham.
Keane needs to do better with some of his passing.

What the hell is wrong with the crowd? They're as grumpy as a newly woken baby looking to be fed. I wish they'd get behind the team, start doing a bit of singing. If it was a Champions League fixture, they would be.
