Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

h/t Fulham have had more possession are running the midfeild and looked more like scoring.

I know Lucas bashing is pretty much standard fare, but seriously he is never going to thrive at Liverpool. Alonso on and withdraw Keane into 4-2-3-1.

    Lucas' performance has been atrocious...

    Babel on for Keane.
    Alonso on for Lucas.

Disappointing first half...agree with Alonso to come on to add a bit of creativity.

    ---Alonso--Masch---
    Keane
    Kuyt
    Riera
    Torres

is the only way to go.

Bah - poor performance Torres and Reina aside.

Lucas certainly hasnt impressed so far.

Only upside is we have to improve in the second half and that Chelsea still nil nil with NUFC

Everyone has been extremely meh so far. Torres is looking like he might do something but his control has been brutal and virtually everyone run has resulted in him loosing possession.

I am not feeling good about this match at all.

boo to all the negativity, alonso to change the game. 2-0.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,910 ✭✭✭✭whatawaster

I do think it's unfair to single out Lucas. I think Riera, Keane, Mascherano have all been as or more ineffective than he has.

Babel needs to come on. Play him on the right and stick Dirk up front.

Torres is trying to force the pace, cos he knows it won't come from Lucas. Its not his fault and still coming back from injury he's still not at his best anyway.

With Arsenal about to drop out the reckoning for the season and Chelsea still drawing we have to get something out of this.

    Alonso warming up

Calm down, it is hard to score if you can't win the ball though, don't you think?

  • Moderators, Education Moderators Posts: 9,648 Mod ✭✭✭✭mayordenis

they're not even trying to go forward anymore.

Pressure is rarely maintained for a sustained period without the opposition having at least some of the ball.

Lucas scored any prem goals? I know Masch has one. I can't even see Lucas as a better option in an attacking sense!

Yea i do understand that smartass my opinion was that lucas should have came off not masc what are you getting smart like that for? were all on the same side

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,233 ✭✭✭darkskol

Kuyt with a chance over corssbar after nice pass by carra

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,899 ✭✭✭Paddy@CIRL

Fulham seem to be content to sit back and soak up any pressure coming at them from the centre but seem to be struggling when Liverpool use the width, good spell for Liverpool, but possesion and pressure won't get us three points.

Haven't seen much of Keane this half.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 88,972 ✭✭✭✭mike65

This is going to end in disaster.

Chelsea will win and Liverpool will loose.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,233 ✭✭✭darkskol

    Come on one last charge.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,373 ✭✭✭Irishpimpdude

Ah well at least chelsea drew :(

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 88,972 ✭✭✭✭mike65

Sighs.....so a great chance blown. I'm willing to say arrogance was the issue here "oh its only Fulham". Alonso should have started if you lead by say 2 after 60 then you can make subs with some latitude, trying to change things late on with subs is harder.
