Free SMS to UK mobile ?

    Is it possible to send free SMS text messages from the net to a UK mobile phone number at all ? Googling leads me to some dodgy sites and I don't know which to trust.

    o2's webtexts can be sent to england.

    Using the above posters own program they can be sent with ease from your desltop and even from your phone (with o2 it will cost about 1c for 8 texts)

    Not necessarily. You could just buy an o2 sim card and use its webtexts. Just tell the person you're texting to text back your normal number
