    Was in Birr earlier and got petrol for 97.9

    Is this the cheapest around?

    I wud think so,only heard of 99.9 being the cheapest.

    which petrol station btw?will be passing through birr in a few days

    Haven't seen cheaper than 99.9

    Without the 8c increase in fuel duty we'd be seeing fuel prices in the 80 cent range.

    When was the last time it was that cheap ?

    Was the one that used to be an esso on the roscrea road. Across from the GAA pitch.

    Got a cheap carwash there too.
    Was great.

    diesel is 98.9

    not too shabby!

    great to be getting more in the litre section than the € section!

    No indication this is the case yet. Theres a minute VAT increase that will have a small effect, but the price of oil hasn't changed - and isn't very predictable.

    Rate of vat is changing at the start of December (nicely in time for Christmas may I add)
