    I need to buy a wheel brace for it but I need to know what it's called first before I can search for it!

    That is a locking nut. All different lock nuts have different adaptors to take them off. Do you not have the lock nut for it? If not, getting it off will prove difficult

    It's a lock nut.

    Problem is that they may be key-coded and can't be removed without the original socket that closed them.

    Though I imagine most garages have some form of "master key".

    I'm pretty sure I had it when I bought the car, but I've either lost it or it went missing while getting my car serviced.

    Yeh some manufacturers supply cars with locking nuts

    Large tyre centre should have a key to take them out
