Is it the chunky style original PS2?

There was a laser fault with some of them that made them only read blue discs

Ur prob just gna hafta buy a new one, they're cheap enough these days

its actually one of each, chunky and slim

ya i might just do that on the Q.T and say i fixed it

    thanks for that

    Hmmm

and the same problem is happenin on both of them?

Thats a bit odd, never got any Slims back with that error

[ i worked on software in Smyths]

U can get a Refurb from Smyths, if they have them in stock

its a refurbished one, which usually last longer as they've better lasers

You pay a fee [not sure what it would be now] and give them your broken PS2 and u get the replacement with a 3 month guarantee

If you're gna go for a brand new console, you could get it in a bundle, theres some great ones for the PS2 with extra games, keep them as xmas pressies :)

    G Luck!

It could be the discs then

Did u mean you got a loan of a different console [slim or chunky?] and it also only played blue discs?

and why did you need the refurb before?

    very odd indeed

    Buy a SNES :P

    well
santy brought the chunky one originally and they shoved 2 discs in at the same time, and it wouldn't work.

we got an exchange chunky one instead of it and that worked for about 4 - 5 months i think until it stopped playing all discs except for 3 blue backed games.

we borrowed a slim one to see what was up and that only loads up the disks and goes back to the menu cycle again, but it plays the blue discs perfectly.

so what do i do now?
