The Off Topic Thread III : Off Topic-er

Welcome to the Off Topic Thread - Version 3.

This thread is for all things not-soccer related in the soccer forum. Engage and enjoy with your soccer buddies/rivals.

Now the mean part, we have a few rules to make sure the thread stays on course. Sorry in advance.

The rules of this thread are broadly in line with the soccer forum rules. If you're unsure, please read them before posting.

In addition, this thread has specific rules, please be aware of them before posting.

1. No cat/animal or NSFW images. This is for discussion and banter, some people use this from work. No NSFW images of any kind will be tolerated, there are forums for that, if you want them, use them. To be clear - NSFW is defined as any image that people would not want to open in front of their boss in work or would be risky/inappropriate to have open in that context

2. No on topic discussion This is for non-soccer discussion, any rivalry, fighting or discussion of soccer related items will see the thread closed immediately.

3. No abuse or discussion of team support Just to be clear on rule 2

4. No discussion of a posters personal information without their consent. While we can be friendly with each other, there are still lines of respecting anonymity. Posting of ANY personal information about another poster without their express permission is forbidden.

5. No discussion or mention of user bans from soccer
Any discussion of a user being banned including reasons or opinions is not allowed and any campaigns for user unbanning will see the thread closed.

6. No discussion of forum or thread rules There are media for raising these issues, this thread is not one of them.

7. Any challenge to the rules of the thread by a thread poster = thread closure This thread is for off topic discussion we have set rules in place to ensure that this thread is used for it's intended purpose. If you have a problem, PM a mod. If any user brings an OTT thread rule up for debate publicly, we will simply close the thread.

Old Thread

Just to announce (and not discuss), we all saw that when the server had issues, this thread was hit bad. We're not our postcount or our thread length, we're much more about our users and our atmosphere. I'd be surprised if anyone reads back past a page or two of the old thread anyway. In addition, we clarified the rules on the first post.

I'll do the picks at random, out of a hat or something. You don't necessarily get the person who got you, but everyone gets a present from someone else.

NO VOUCHERS ALLOWED.

THERE WILL BE A NAME AND SHAME AFTER XMAS IF YOU DON'T GET A PRESENT FOR THE PERSON YOU SHOULD HAVE.

I'll run it, so you'll know who you have. Everyone can give me the address they want the present posted to, and I give that address to the person. So nobody knows who has them.

Anyone else want in? If I get 8 names, I'll go with it.

Hmm interesting idea, but in these recession hit times it might no be a runner.

Especially when people generally get forced into these in work.

I'll stay out of it anyway. I have enough trouble getting presents for people I know*. Plus I hate shopping, even internet shopping.
