Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I liked it, it was made on the cheap...but aside from a few good scenes, it just felt like it was trying too hard...plus I found the plot a tad predictable, but anyway!

In what is fast becoming a regular and disturbing feature, today's 'Isn't America Wacky?' story tells another tale of what is a borderline sex crime that's ok to laugh at. A man in Nevada was arrested "on suspicion of being naked near a high school." On 'suspicion'? That can't do much for your ego. It must have been cold. Apparently, the man was tied to a rock close to the school and when students asked him if he needed help to extricate himself from the situation, he declined. He later told police that he was "watching buzzards overhead". It's not the best defence we've ever heard and legally speaking we reckon the man is between a rock and ... er ... hopefully not a hard

    lol

    those wacky buzzards

Not sure, but you could get the Aircoach or the Dublin Bus Airlink much cheaper (the Dublin bus one is 6 euro) and takes about the same time.

Cantona film and The hangover only good films I've seen this year. Yet to see Slumdog or Star Trek though

I loved it, but I love most things Eastwood does, even the muck.

The film can be summed up by this pic.

There is a lack of decent English speaking Asian actors out there.

Eastwood always likes to give first timers and amateurs a go though in his films, so can't fault him for that really.

The Aircoach on goes from Westmorland street, but if you walk up to the stop on O'Connell street you can stand in between the Aircoach stop and the Dublin bus stop and just get which one comes first.

or you could just stay at the westmorland stop. 7euro for aircoach which is very regular and quick or 2euro for the 16a which isnt as regular and takes a bit longer due to a windy route.

Heres a story that will make you realise how badly run the banks are in this country, instead of going after the guys who put us in this mess, this is what they do: True Story

    Reported in the Irish Times recently;
    Only in Ireland !!!!

Be sure and cancel your credit cards before you die! This is so priceless
And so easy to see happening - customer service, being what it is today!

A lady died this past September, and MBNA bank billed her for October and
November for their annual service charges on her credit card, and Then added
late fees and interest on the monthly charge. The balance that had been E0.00, now is somewhere around E60.00.

A family member placed a call to the MBNA Bank:

    Family Member:
'I am calling to tell you that she died in January.'

    MBNA:
'The account was never closed and the late fees and charges still apply.'
    Family Member:
'Maybe, you should turn it over to collections.'

    MBNA:
'Since it is two months past due, it already has been.'

    Family Member:
So, what will they do when they find out she is dead?'

    MBNA:
'Either report her account to the frauds division or report her to The
    credit bureau, maybe both!'

    Family Member:
'Do you think God will be mad at her?'
    MBNA:
    'Excuse me?'

    Family Member:
'Did you just get what I was telling you . . The part about her Being dead?'

    MBNA:
'Sir, you'll have to speak to my supervisor.'
    Supervisor gets on the phone:
    Family Member:
'I'm calling to tell you, she died in January.'

    MBNA:
'The account was never closed and the late fees and charges still apply.'
    Family Member:
'You mean you want to collect from her estate?'

    MBNA:
    (Stammer) 'Are you her lawyer?'

    Family Member:
    'No, I'm her great nephew.'
    (Lawyer info given)

    MBNA:
'Could you fax us a certificate of death?'
    Family Member:
    'Sure.'
( fax number is given )

    After they get the fax:

    MBNA:
'Our system just isn't set up for death. I don't know what more I Can do to help.'

    Family Member:
'Well, if you figure it out, great! If not, you could just keep billing Her.
I don't think she will care.'

    MBNA:
'Well, the late fees and charges do still apply.'

    Family Member:
'Would you like her new billing address?'
    MBNA:
    'That might help.'

    Family Member:
' Glasnevin Cemetry, Finglas Road , Dublin 11, Ireland , Plot Number
    1049.'

    MBNA:
    'Sir, that's a cemetery!'

    Family Member:
'Well, what the **** do you do with dead people on your planet?'

MBNA were not available for comment when a reporter from the Irish Times rang.
