50 year olds doing the test.

    Was in newbridge sgs today dropping my niece off. there were 2 women that were at least 50 Y O waiting to do the test. They seemed 10 times as nervous as my niece! One of them told me she had been driving for 30years without a full licence! dunno how they got on..
    Is this a common sight these days whith the new laws?

    sure is . Some load of me mates parents doing the test lately. So funny seen them been so nervous about it

    Many of those older drivers would have been able to drive perfectly legally while unaccompanied as they came under the old '12th August 1985' rule but that all came to an end in June this year. Hence the reason why they are now coming out of the woodwork.

    Both my parents passed this year and they are in their early fifties. my mum had only been driving for 3 years but my dad had been driving since he was 17!!
