Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

HELP ME CHOOSE THE COLOUR OF ALUCLAD WINDOWS

1900 RAL colours and I don't know which one to choose for the exterior colour of our new Alu clad windows!!! I'm just about to place the order and need to decide on the colour. It's a 2 storey new build, cream wet dash finish with donegal natural stone (kinda like sandstone with light grey running through it) on the porch/2 chimneys. I'm not that interested in black or white. Any ideas what looks good?

Blood RED, goes well with cream. Don't know Ral number.

We're going with a fairly 'standard' colour - 704 - which is a light/mid grey..that which I figure is the actual colour of aluminium, in fact! I'm looking to make the frames less conspicuous, less obvious but also honest as to what the material is close up. I want the frames to blend into the (white) plaster finish.

Of course, you may want to make a feature of the frames, a statement? Perhaps a bolder/darker colour would be more to your liking? It seems to me a lot of people go for the darker greys...even against a lighter exterior finish. And there are wood-effect external alu finishes too, I believe.

Can't really help you that much so other than to suggest you start narrowing down the field quickly: do you want 'invisible' or 'feature' frames...the answer to that question should probably halve your options.
