The patent claims to cover the display of internet content reformatted from HTML to XML on mobile devices – the industry standard currently displayed by the iPhone,

reformatted to xml my ass. The patent office in the US needs to get smarter about patents. Hire some engineers. Not only is the format not changed to xml, not only does the iPhone not use "reformatted" html for most browsing, but there was plenty of prior art before this patent was granted.

Looks just like another case of one company trying to milk the fortunes on another. Apple records tried it once they saw Apple thrive with ITunes. Only in America,

Nothing new here for Apple, just another days work for their legal department. The American patent system is a joke though, you can essentially patent an idea without real substance behind it. It helps if you're as vague as possible when describing the idea and that's also why you'll see so many poorly drawn illustrations accompanying them- the logic being that they can be applied to far more ideas in the case of a lawsuit.
