Transfer Vhs to Dvd

Hi i would like to transfer my old home movies to dvd format, but i'm fairly lost.

I have a DVD Recorder & VHS Player

What cables do i need and how would i wire them up?

Can you outline what connection slots you have on the back of each? Or better still a photograph or diagram? It would make it easier to help you out...

This is the dvd recorder, it also has 2 scart connections

the vhs player only has the aerial in/out connections and 1 scart connection

scart from vhs to dvd.

select the scart input on the dvd recorder. press play on the vhs, press record on the dvd.

how would ya wire it up, would ya connect the dvd recorder and vhs player to the tv or just forget about the tv all together

scart from the vhs to the dvd, then another scart from the dvd to the tv.
