    Hi

Does anyone know why this lane is partially closed (northbound)?

Cones down for about 1-2km until around 1-2km from JN7 (N4).

The lane is complete as far as I can see, but some work seems to be going on on the edge of the carriageway.

As a safety measure to keep the contractors safe.

What work were they doing, though? That section is meant to be finished...

There was debris on the lane so it had to be closed anyway.

I think they dug up parts of the drainage system...

I think also the likes of the lane control stuff is all to do, and some barrier work.

The lane is now open all the way to the M4 exit-hopefully this will make a difference-but I see the cones are still at the side of the motorway-so maybe they are just 'on a break'.
