Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Judging by that tackle, Fletcher must have been Keane keen to injure young Shaun! :pac:

It certainly slowed him down for a while anyways

The four United players booked yesterday:
Ronaldo, Fletcher, Carrick and Evra were all booked for fouls on SWP, no wonder he was limping near the end of the match...

Someone needs to toughen that chap up, he should take a leaf out of Ronaldo's book! 'ard as nails he is

I was listening to the BBC 606 phone in the other day with Alan Green who claims he's not a United fan but clearly is. A City fan rang up and said that the only way United could stop SWP was by kicking him and that he wouldn't be surprised if SWP was targetted for some rough treatment. Green basically laughed at the caller and told him he didn't see anything wrong with the tackles on SWP. He cut the caller off eventually and did the exact same to another City fan who made the same point. I feckin hate Alan Green.

I always thought Greene was a Pool fan. Didn't he have a big bust up with Fergie years ago?

lol it's of huge belief amongst Man Utd fans he is a Liverpool fan. Despised if you ever visit red cafe(not that you will tbh)

Hmmmm maybe he is a Pool fan but every time I've heard him he defends United to the hilt (though he did make jibes at Fergie's hyprocracies when it comes to criticising players).

Whoever he supports he still talks shite

The Fletcher tackle doesn't look great - but there was nothing wrong with Ronaldo's, and the booking Evra got was for a simple foul that happens loads in every game. Can't remember what Carrick got booked for.

I'll just say the worst tackle in the game was Micah Richards studding Vidic in the chest/stomach, and getting completely away with it. Shocking display from Webb at the weekend.

Carrick was done for a horribly cynical chop as SWP broke forward in the last few minutes.

Much like the horribly cynical chop that Vassell got booked for in the first half!

    - Webb was thoroughly inept.

    - Fletchs tackle looks bad there alright.

    - Alan Green is a Liverpool fan.

Didn't actually see that tackle, I'd wager the still photo is making it look alot worse than it was thou.

I can't remember what City player it was that swung a kick at a Utd player, Webb played the advantage which never really happened then City broke and Ronaldo got booked for the first time. Play should've been stopped 30 seconds before that. Webb had an absolute shocker.

Why couldn't soccer have an advantage system like in Rugby, you play advantage to see if the team benefits from it and if it doesn't, you take the play back. I think it would be a good addition to the game.

Edit: I'm not just talking the next 3 or 4 seconds here. The ref could hold up his hand like in rugby until he feels e sufficient advantage has been received.

    It was Elano on Berbatov.

I'm guessing you haven't listened to many live matches involving Utd on bbc. :D Green hates Utd and goesn't go out of his way to disguise it much. I've often listened to games on the radio with him commentating and wondered if its the same game when seen later.

Yep, Green is as ABU as they come.

Green is a racist waste of space. Should have being sacked a long time ago and he hates United with a passion.

I'll be starting my own BBC campaign to get him sacked if he says anything again.

Giggs wouldn't have reached the goal with his shot so had to pass. Giggs has been a great player but one thing he never had was any kind of strength.

Do you remember Giggs smacking the bar from halfway a few years back away to Charlton?...Solskjaer put away the rebound.

Good video. The one against QPR (last one) in '93 or '94 was definitely his best.
