Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Yes,the deadline is 12:00 tomorrow,a bit later I will put up half and a few days later the other half.The top two from each go into the final.

I only have 9 in and only 30 min to go,I cant see us getting 11 in the last 30 min.We may have to reevaluate the group sizes.

suppose this could just be group one and group two could just get a few days more but if they miss the next deadline they are eliminated or something. afterall it will take a while to read these.

I cant really do anything on till I have a final number but yes we will just half them and then the top 2 go through....gives all the lads who are in a better chance of going through.I bet we will have people on tonight saying they did not no the deadline was today,I think they have had long enough its a week now.

The prob with that is lets say I stick up the first 8 and hold back hoping to get a few more,the second group could only be 4 or 5 which would give them a big advantage on the first group.They would also have the advantage of been able to read the first batch.

Here is what I am thinking,if it does not go over ten (or maybe 12 I am not sure what the max number you can put in a poll) I will just stick them all up with the top 3 going into the final.

This removes the need for groups.

Yeah do that.

Instead of having a Final of 4, to make it fair why not just pick the top 2 from each group, then the third placed with most votes.

I think I can guess a couple as well, but it could be surprising. Only one article in that lot expressed outright affiliation and that narrows the villa one down a bit anyhow

No guesses though until the gaffer tells us we can.

Edit: Although considering there are quite a few grammar errors in some of them (albeit it relatively minor) surely that rules out professional journos (looking no one in particular of course) from having written those I hope.

I started reading with the intention of immediately discounting an article once I reached the first grammatical error in it. Thirty seven seconds later I had discounted all seven articles and was forced to alter my criteria.:D

My vote is in. In fairness the subject matter of most of the first batch is very interesting, well done to the participants. Proof read next time though.
