Why do so many people on this site worry about who's 'Cool'?

Lads a lot of you seem to CONSTANTLY talk about what's 'Cool'. The 'Cool' factor crops up in a lot of threads. Is it important for the board that it be kept up? Maybe there could be a 'Cool' board, and a 'not so cool' board?
