Nutritional Supplements Funding

    Just wondering has anyone heard any news on funding for nutritional supplements? I was in the hospital yesterday and my dietician told me that she had to go to an emergency meeting because the HSE are planning on pulling funding for nutritional supplements on the Drug Payment Scheme!
    I was absolutely horrified when she told me! This will have a huge effect on me and everyone who suffers from Gastro Illnesses and loads of other illnesses! I NEED those nutritional supplements because I'm anaemic and CAN'T take iron tablets because they hurt my stomach. Also, because I had surgery on my small bowel I find it very difficult to absorb protein from normal food so I also need them for that!
    Does anyone else have any more news or an opinion on this?
