audi a3 problem

    Hi there, i have a 05 audi a3 ambition (only bought it) abd cannot figure out where the windscreen wash goes for the back wiper??any ideas??

    the tank is the same as the one for the front wipers!!! Possibly the tube is leaking or not connected?

    When you press for the washer to come on can you hear the motor?

    thanks a mill will try some of those, yep can hear the motor but no water coming out (thought i was being thick, someone told me there was a separate watertank for the back wiper!!

    No i dont know of any hatch backs that have that system!!! if you can hear the pump its most likely the connection, happened me with a focus a few years ago. Fill the tank in the bonnet up, get someone to press the stalk so the water comes out for the back and look under the car for leaking water, also open the boot and see if theres any leaking water there aswell...

    double check that the nozzles at the back aren't just blocked...

    I think I remember my dads '85 Ford Escort 1.3 Lazer had a seperate bottle in the boot for the rear wiper!!
    Could be wrong though, that wasnt today or yesterday!

    Dont know much about the A3 but older Seats used to have an elbow conector thing joining the hoses and it used to pop out and the water would spray into the left rear cluster, so maybe check that area OP.

    Toyota Landcruiser 90 series has a seperate washer bottle in the back door, fold away spout and all.;)

    I'm pretty sure my Mk2 Golf had a separate bottle for the rear too.

    I think the very early ones did, and then they changed around 1986 IIRC, I had a lovely MkII in silver 4 dr CL what a great vehicle they were.
