    If you ignore it..you will get a Summons and then you have every chance of getting it withdrawn by the Gardai on the day of the Court appearance..in fact it about a 99% chance..speaking as a solicitor with experience inthis area...and that will be the end of it..no fine and no points.

    Whilst you may well be a solicitor (we have no way of knowing), this is your advice and not one recommended by Boards.ie!

    Just an update on the should i pay it thread regarding a botched fine letter.

    After advice from my solicitor, ive being advised to pay it and take the points as from his (solicitor) experience, i may only have a 50/50 chance of getting away with it.

    Thank you to all who offered useful advice and to all who just wanted to be the big men behind the keyboards - may boards always exist for you!;)
