Guys some help needed. One of the radiators downstairs is leaking, black goo coming out of the pipe as it enters the rad and it looks like its leaking somewhere under the front room as the carpet is wet.

How much does it cost to replace the rad or is there an easy fix?

    Hi
if carpet is wet check first to see is it the water where u have leek is running down the pipe and wetting carpet ? Radiatora are not that expensive. If you find water is wetting is carpet from leak in pipe you may be able to tighten the rings at radiator go easy when tightening,
The goo that is coming out is in the water system. Did you ever clean out the system? that goo is abuild up of old water and dirt particles is your expansion tank in the attic open?
I would recommend to get leak fixed and flush out the system once or twice then bleed the system and cover your tank in the attic
