Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

As far as I'm aware, a loading bay becomes a free-for-all outside the hours stated on the accompanying timeplate.

They are free to be used for parking outside of their noted times for use as a loading bay. By and large, they are Monday-Saturday from 7AM-7PM though not all adhere to these times; check before you park in one first just to be sure:)

The ordinary spaces at the bottom of Kildare Street are free on a Sunday. I use it regularly.

in my experiance lodaing bays in Cork are for four wheel drive owners to park and do their shopping and for Utility vehicles such as Eircom. They aren't for Goods Vehicles to load and unload in surely?:(

Hi, besides the above, is anybody aware of other free, cheap or discounted parking on Sundays anywhere not too far (say 5 or 10min walk) from the Trinity College area?

Special Sunday Shopper rates are mentioned here: http://www.dublinks.com/index.cfm/loc/2/pt/0/spid/AA95A908-2D0A-450F-8D2C7F2CB9CFACBD.htm but I phoned Q-Park (Setanta & Stephen's Green/Royal College of Surgeons) & was quoted their everyday rate of €1 per 15mins  on Sundays! Any ideas welcome.

I'm fairly sure George's St has free parking on Sundays.

Only recently I parked in the green for less than an hour on a sat morning. thought no more than €3.

I was like  when it came up €3.60.

Should car park be made display their prices outside the entrance cause sometimes you can't get out after you make the turn and then see the prices

I think I found my solution:
Dawson St car park, €5 all day sunday, open from 7am to 7pm.
    See http://dublin.ratemyarea.com/places/dawson-car-park-15960
    Phoned them and confirmed same.

For others searching for parking elsewhere in Dublin you might want to try parkopedia.ie (note: not all of the info is fully accurate however). Happy parking. :)

I think all carparks allow you exit for free if you don't agree with their prices.

Anyway from the legal board, a loading bay has to have a plate showing the times it's a loading bay for it to be illegal to park there during those times, else it's free parking.

Most streets have free parking on a Sunday except for the very core from St. Stephen's Green to Parnell Square and from Eden Quay to Wood Quay and even then its only €1.40 per hour.

Not quite. Its always a loading bay, except when the loading bay is limited by times on a sign. No sign listing times / days mean sit is always a loading bat 24 x 7.
