My problem with linking Metronorth and Green Luas is that it would substantially disrupt Green Luas during the link up - and that's assuming that signalling, stops and yards were all compatible.

I would rather Metro North be planned as continuing south from St.SG over a period of years a few stops at a time with an ultimate terminus at Tallaght and with buses from Firhouse etc. turned from An Lar routes into metro station feeder routes.

This would reduce the need for hordes of buses clogging up Rathmines etc. and provide an alternative to the Rathfarnham LUAS which is going to be very hard to ram through that area and is possibly only there for political reasons.
