Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Van Persie got Man of the match. I thought Clichy was superb.

    Clichy generally is superb.
RVP was always gonna get it with two goals to win it.

Can't wait to see what they say about Terry's tackle. I'm sure Jamie will find a way to say it's not a foul and he didnt deserve a yellow.

I know. It was a stab at humour. I'm just not good at it.

Every week I say "why can't we get rid of van Persie".....and he pulls it out of the bag.....I'm going to keep saying it though just in case.

Jamie had nothing to say about Terry's tackle.

How does Terry keep getting away with it, game after game?

  • Users Awaiting Email Confirmation Posts: 15,001 ✭✭✭✭Pepe LeFrits

    Woot woot :):)

Great finishes by Robin; nice for him to get the rub of the green at the Bridge for once (I'm thinking that 'goal' a few seasons back...). I thought Djourou (OG aside) and Gallas were outstanding at the back. Sagna and Clichy were their usual selves.

Two wins out of two for El Capitan!

Scolari's after match comments about the ref could get him in trouble. Hopefully not though, coz he was right tbf.

His comments were so funny because of his broken english.

Super win, delighted. Sagna and Clichy really are superb players, thought the entire defensive unit played better than they have all season. RvP took his goals well, both good finishes. Ade was poor again though.

Super win ? fúck off !!! 1st goal was ofside and you cúnts will be lucky to finish 4th ...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,630 ✭✭✭✭Mr.Nice Guy

I thought it was a good game and I felt Arsenal deserved it. Chelsea were hard done by with the offside goal sure but at the same time Ivanovic shouldn't have stayed on the pitch as he was involved in three incidents that were bookable offences, and he only got one yellow card.

Their attacking threat was non-extistent and Deco was hardly in the game. Encouraging signs for the rest of the league. I still reckon Arsenal are out of the race though.

Super win in the context of the season, wasn't saying Arsenal were amazing or anything. The first goal was offside, but I still felt Arsenal were the better side on the day, without ever really reaching top gear. Chelsea were unlucky for the equaliser, but lucky not to have two players sent off.

Great result for Arsenal, I'm delighted!
Van Persie's goal was offside but its nice to get some luck like that for a change.
Chelsea seemed very subdued today. If anything, Arsenal had the better chances after going ahead!

Will take it though couple of seasons ago RVP had a goal not allowed at the Bridge for off side which never was.

For these reasons alone, I think Arsenal are going to get a result.

    Whoop!!

If Liverpool do manage to get anything out of the league this season, we will have Arsenal to thank.

No, Chelsea should NOT have won that match. Any team with only 1 shot on goal does not deserve to win a match. In fairness, Arsenal had a number of other excellent chances to score more than the 2.

Isn't Burnley away? Arsene will need a lot of notes from mammys to let them stay up that late on a week night.

Nice win today but doesn't hide the cracks that exist there.

We still to buy some experienced players in the transfer window, especially in the midfiled.

Clichy has been the best player so far me thinks, shows drive and determination which some could use when they go 1-0 down.
