Playstation 2 USB to play movies?

Hi guys not sure if this is the correct place to post this mods please move if necessary. I know its a of an bit outdated q now but you know the usb port on the ps2, if I downloaded a movie from the web and put it onto my usb could i play it through the ps2?

I don't think so. I tried awhile ago to connect my ancient 250mb zip drive to the PS2 with no success, it didn't recognise it. This might be more relevant in console modding?
