I didn't want to bump a fairly old thread from felix.

but i'm just wondering if people like many albums from this label and if they wouldn't mind listing a few of their favourites (i realise there's a lot :) )

    Janey-Mac... where to start!

Ok... Fax have had a wide mix of releases but definitely the focus being ambient, especially in more recent years. Some early stuff was more of the trance and techno variety alright such as 4 Voice, Deltraxx, Hearts of Space etc.

The problem with a lot of them is they are limited edition, in fact, any that I have myself that I have checked seem to be unavailable on Amazon etc.

I have yet to get but hear they are excellent, the 'From Within' series which was Namlook & Hawtin (after ordering them now though on Amazon! :pac: )

The above is on Ambient World which is another Fax label.

    Some more excellent releases...

...to name a few, the problem with Fax is getting them.

Its shocking how under-rated Fax is as a label. I have delved deeper over the last couple of weeks and there is an unbelievable amount of quality releases from this label.

But does anyone actually care? :p

Ripping some of my old CD's bit by bit into itunes , over xmass i moved some of my old Ambient - Trance stuff .

Alot of stuff off "FAX" , "Rising High" & "Recyle-or-Die" labels.

Some of the albums are still sounding great after the 10+ years !

Fax has really remained a consistently (a few exceptions) excellent label over the years and some of the more recent offerings are actually the best now for me... for example, listening to 'The Lost Tales Volume 1' by Thomas Heckmann at the moment, it is a fantastic album - it amazes me how these stay well under the radar.

I've vhs of a Fax "Special" we did in February 2000. We did a video and audio simulcast aswell as broadcast it on Fm. There's a 45min or so fairly technical interview with Pete Kuhlmann and we play a load of Fax stuff of course.
It's funny I saw this thread because I located this vhs in the last week after thinking it was lost all these years and was totally over the moon when I found it. So, as soon as I have it transfered I'll put it up.
