Scolari & Ferguson must be pissing themselves laughing ...

It looked like two teams that were scrapping at the bottom of the table.

So that's Fulham, Stoke and West Ham at home that you's have drawn nil all with.

Not good enough. Won't be winning the league lads.

Seriously, whats the ****ing story with all the poxy shots from stupid angles? I thought it was just Torres lately but it's everyone.

It's because the attacking system doesn't work well! It's not well balanced and in general is about magic men. When Gerrard is off form and Torres is out, nada.

Why won't Houllier give Pennant a chance? He surely has to be better than Babel, Riera and Ngog

The performance of a team never going to win the Premiership. Its so fustrating to watch this type of muck. What a fcukin miserable performance inept of any decisive cutting edge.:mad::mad::mad::mad:

diabolical performance liverpool had fulham and west ham at home and got 2 points utd had villa and city away and got 4 points rafa afraid to go after a game same substitutions every time 62-64 ninutes then babel on 77-78 minutes absoloutely no pace up front or on the wings how the fcuk he brought on ngog before babel defies belief wouldnt score if they were there all night could possibly be 5 points clear tonight

    Still top though.

Terrible result tonight it has to be said. We're just trying to force it too much. Benni is ok when played in the middle but he's useless out wide.

These results do happen though, we're top in December, who wouldn't have taken that at the start of the season?!?

Torres has been by far the worst offender of it in the last few weeks. Hitting stupid shots with passes that are on or tryign to run by 5 players.

There are passes on in most cases but players arnt taking the option, just deciding to have stupid shots when nothing is on. I'd rather they knocked it about a bit instead of srappy shots that are not on. At least they would still have the ball.

This is liverpool's problem. To win the league you have to be able to grind out the results against the likes of stoke and west ham. I think United and Chelsea will both have overtaken them by february.

Cos Houllier is in France quietly glad that he didnt have to hear the chorus of boos coming from the Kop at the end of the game.

You've no penetration though. At all. You win games where you's can sit back and counter attack. This will be the trend again tihs year for Liverpool. Probably win the CL though.

We might not be there come the end of the season but what does it say that we've drawn with Stoke, Fulham and West Ham at home but are still top? If you don't think Liverpool are contenders you're letting your united bias over-rule good judgement...

    Still a poor performance tho.

well thats a silly thing to say. Chelsea have drawn 3 and lost 2 at home. And ManU are still behind both teams. Somebody HAS to win it.

Honestly, i can never understand people on here that say "wont" or "cant". Its like Tompkins was saying recently - you dont know that, all you can really say is 'you dont think its good enough to win the league'. You dont Know anything about the future to be able to make these definate statements.

Raskolnikov - Rafa is the manager, and none of the players you mentioned are right wingers.......

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 22,905 ✭✭✭✭Handsome Bob

You're a harsh mistress Liverpool. Same old ****. Keane was not paying well but he's a man who can produce a moment of magic, so why did Rafa take him off for N'Gog, who has shown that he is not an impact sub?

Riera off for Babel (who should have been the 1st man on, not N'Gog) and Kuyt, one of the worst on the night is left on the field.

Gerrard was at his Hollywood best tonight. For gods sake man, when there there is 30/40 minutes left there is no need to panic, move the ball instead of going for the impossible shot!!!!!!!!

So three 0-0 draws at home against relegation fodder. That title has never looked so far away sitting at the top of the table.

even for a team to win the prem - results like this will happen over the course of a season. I do think Liverpool need to step it up, but if they get Torres back up to form they will always have a chance, in every game no matter how they play really.

Benitez is a great manager and I wouldn't want anyone else at the club. He doesn't deserve half the stick he gets BUT he does make some absolutely bizarre decisions. It was the 79th minute when he finally brought Babel on. Why not earlier when we were clearly dying out for a bit of pace and trickery ? It seems to me that Torres, Kuyt, Keane, N'Gog, Benayoun & Riera are all ahead of him in the pecking order...which is madness.

Fulham and West Ham at home...two 0-0 draws. I have a feeling we will be looking back at these results at the end of the season with much regret.

Only real positive was Dossena. Didnt have a lot to do defensively but looked a lot more comfortable then in previous games. Hopefully his confidence will take a boost.
