Similar to yesterday, but not feeling quite as mank. Temp in Tuam earlier was 4.9c in a thick fog and drizzle, so I reckon roughly 6c here in the somewhat brighter city at the mo.

Nope the great winter of 2008/09 is here to stay!!

If December continues this cold we could get a CET 3c below average! It's truly been an amazingly cold start here and in the UK. Unfortunately without the snow...... YET.

    Overcast and bitter here, 3c.

Ahem.... Central England Temperature.:D Overall Irish Mean however is still 2.9c below normal for the first 9 days of the month, and 2.0c below the 61-90 whole December mean. It will really take an exceptional cold spell to keep figures this low at the end of the month, but early days yet. :)

3.2c here now - max today of 4.8c - again another good cold day. Nice and clear now, all the cloud has cleared.

    2.7c here. Clear blue skies.

Just drove over the Wicklow gap. All sunny as far as Hollywood and then dense fog from there into Kildare with a temp of 3c.

Coming back, the view from the top was excellent. Blue skies facing east and foggy to the west. 3c in sunshine at the top but with very near cloud.

    Calm and clear.

Car reading 2c from Dublin City to home.

No frost last night think conditions may be better for a sharp one tonight.

Automated station, the report is nonsense.
Temp 3C, RH 100%, most likely fog

Quiet and clear and cold. Mist decending.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,329 ✭✭✭arctictree

-2.0c here already. Gonna be another cold one here tonight!

BTW, a temp of -2c here for the last couple of years would have raised some interest. This year these cold nights seem to be two a penny....

-2C freezing fog and frost, lethal road conditions. Today's High here was 4C

I was in Navan earlier and saw what looked like tiny crystals falling out of the sky, it was creating a shimmering effect thru the street lights and car lights, looked great, never seen that before. Cud be frozen water particles coming out of the mist/fog??
