Barnicles you need to recalibrate your barometer. That is very low pressure even at 700feet. All barometer are adjusted to sea level pressure or 0 feet. These are the best time/conditions to correct the barometer if using inches or pascals.

What type of station, barometer are you using.
Or is it a standalone barometer your reading from, need more info on type of equipment first to help you out :)

Interesting drive home, temp in Dublin city center was 5 and it dropped a degree every couple of km by 1 and its 0c here at home. That's all from the car so don't know how accurate it is.

@ barnicles. You know we can see the time and date on your posts above your user name, you don't have to type it every time. Save your self some hassle. ;)

0.5c now. you could almost mistake the whiteness for snow in spots. if we can't have snow this is the next best thing.

There's usually a recessed screw head in a hole in the back of it for adjustment

Starting to freeze up nicely now. Some cars have white tops already

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,033 ✭✭✭Snowbie

OMG whats with the lack of east wind in Wicklow. The temp has very little diurnal range last few days due to the persistence of an easterly and down the road even in S Dublin it gets subzero.

Temp is between 7C and 5C here.

Arrrrrgggghh/me shakes fist at a plaguing frost free east wind. Bring on the N'ly :(
