White wonderland out there this morning, the third in a row now. Frost was about 3mm thick even on the roads and crunchy underfoot and never really cleared in the shade today. Current temp here in Shamtown 1.2c but no new ice on cars as of yet. (usually the first indicator )

Some small blue holes here but too windy atm for any frost.

Just back from shopping in Wicklow. As usual interesting temperature variances. 7.5°C in Ashford to 3.5°C here on the car thermometer. AWS reads 4.2°C here though.
UK is having a widespread ice-day looking as xcweather which is a little frustrating, this spell is just about outside our grasp so far.
Gonna be cold tonight if only high cloud remains , -3°C should be on the cards for here.

Tbh i feel this cold/cool spell is going nowhere , 3rd straight day of 8c and cloudy/windy is getting boring , looking like a slow breakdown to me , back on topic .

Yep, the proper cold air is close. The air here today has that distinctly continental crappy visibility look to it..it is making its way slowly here,
Temperature currently -0.9°C, gonna be a cold night.
