Geothermal with underfloor heating settings

    Hi,
    I heat my house with a geothermal pump and undefloor heating.
    We also have the night rate ESB.
    Currently (winter time) i start the heating at 11pm till 8 am on 21 degrees.
    Others with similar setup recommend to let it also run 1 or 2 hours during the day as this would be more officient.

    What are your views on this ? Any particular recommendations.

    I do that too. Maximum heat on cheap rate, then thermostat during day so if temp drops it comes on.

    I have it on upstairs for rads, one hour before the kids go to bed. I have very high ceilings upstairs.
