Hi all, So I just noticed propertynews.ie have a good implementation on their front page search box with predictive locations and I'm looking for suggestions on where I might get this data? I know people like GeoDirectory.ie have it but charge crazy money for it (€15k - €55k). All I'm after is the names of…

So I just noticed propertynews.ie have a good implementation on their front page search box with predictive locations and I'm looking for suggestions on where I might get this data? All I'm after is the names of cities/towns/villages throughout the country (Always interested in more if you have other suggestions).

Apart from pulling out my atlas and spend a month or so typing any suggestions?

There is some information out there. Search for things like gazetteer and placenames. An example of data that can be downloaded can be found here. Look at the IE.zip file. You might also have a look through the GPS forum.
