Ok, I am 6 months pregnant, I am taking a leave of absence from college for a year, so I am still registered as being in college. I am living with my boyfriend in an apartment costing €800 a month, he is staying in college during all of this. I am not going to try to scam the state for the year, but I am getting no answers…

Your baby will be entitled to Child Benefit and Early Childcare supplement, like every other baby.

Given your circumstances you might be entitled to rent allowance, FIS, Medical card. Not sure how you being still registered at college would affect this but why not pop down to your local Citizens Info Bureau and have a chat
