Hit by pension crisis?

    Hi.
I am writing a newspaper feature article about the effects of the pension crisis on ordinary members of the public. It is clear that ordinary pension holders have lost tens of thousand of euro as a result of the recent stock market collapse.
Some pensioners (defined contribution) have lost around a third of their retirement nest egg in a year, while many defined benefit schemes are in danger of collapse.
I would be interested in talking to ordinary pension holders about this crisis. How have their finances been hit and what is their attitude to to the professional fund managers who have lost so much money for customers?
    Thanks
