    oh i was thinking - but i stopped cos it started to hurt...

    but have you considered getting one of these mobile broadband type things ?
    three have a good service which links the north and the south - i dont know what the mobile signal is like up there.

    costs here are about 30quid/month for a certain download amount. you wont get very good down speeds so would depend on what you wanted it for
