He is, currently, one of the more likely goal scoring defenders in both the prem and the national side, barring Terry. Who gives a flying **** how few goals he scored in his previous 12 odd years of pro football, lol in fairness. Bar Terry, name me a defender in the EPL who is as likely to knock them in. Carra? Wes Brown? Finnan or Makelele when they were in the EPL? 4 of the best defenders in the league, but got fook all goals for either club or country. Great players are all rounders- Rooney does his job up front but can be relied on for clearances down the back when needed. Skrtel, despite his age, has a decent scoring record for Slovakia, if he can bring it to the EPL it could make him one of the leagues greatest ever defenders in terms of whole contribution. Some of the stuff here is prawn sandwich brigade fare and nothing more.
