    NOTICE TO WATER CONSUMERS
    IN

    North Dublin Area

A discolouration of the water supplied to the homes in the areas listed below has been caused by sediment in old cast iron watermains in the network which has been dislodged following repairs to a section of watermain in Clonshaugh.

The following areas have been affected:

    Clonshaugh
    Baldoyle
    Sutton
    Darndale
    Raheny

However there may also be other areas affected

Once the sediment has been flushed out of the system the water will be safe to drink.

The Principal Environmental Health Officer has advised as a precaution, not to consume the water, even if boiled, until it runs clear.

Fingal County Council will monitor the water quality in the affected areas in Fingal and have notified Dublin City Council who will monitor any affects in the city area. Samples will be taken as part of the monitoring of the situation.

The Principal Environmental Health Officer will be kept appraised of the situation.
